    These services are designed to promote the physical well-being of the workers, prevent diseases, and provide comfortable working environments. The services in this category include health screening services for local residents provided by health care centers, special health screening, health care agency services, and occupational environment measurement services.
    The purpose of special health screening under Article 43 of the ISHA is to prevent workers exposed to chemicals, noise, dust, night shift work, and other hazardous factors from contracting occupational diseases and to protect and maintain their health.
    • Periodical special health screening: In addition to the special health screening, when the employee complains of occupational-related symptoms, the employer is in charge
    • Spot health screening: conducted by an employer on workers suspected of having disorders
    • Temporary health screening: In the event that a large number of people with occupational diseases are found, the employer is required to execute according to the instruction of the head of the local Employment and Labor Office
     

    Timeframe for special health screening

    : Special health screenings are conducted on workers whose jobs fall under the special health screening requirements, in accordance with the timeframes specified for the respective hazardous substances. As for workers identified as a high-risk group, the next health screenings are conducted earlier than the prescribed timeframe.
