EI for platform labor provider

Eligible applicant

• From January 1, 2022, it is applied to quick service drivers (including food delivery drivers) and proxy drivers who are platform labor providers.

• 1Quick service driver(a courier according to the three classifications of the Korean Standard Classification of Occupations, who performs delivery work after receiving a request from a quick service company (referring to a business that delivers parcels without going through the collection and transportation process). However, those who fall under subparagraph 3(courier drivers) and who deliver by truck are excluded.)
• 2Substitute driver(a person who performs the surrogate driving task at the request of a surrogate driver (referring to the business owner of a business that allows the car user to drive the car to the destination for a fee at the request of the car user))

Special Case for Labor Provision Platform Operators

• (Article 77-7 (1) of the Employment Insurance Act) A business operator that builds and operates a system(“Labor Provision Platform”) in which the employer of the labor provision business collects and manages data and information related to the labor provider and the employer of the labor provision business, and records and processes them in electronic form(“labor provision platform”).
