    Mr. Altankhyuag Chuluunbat, the Director of Social Insurance General Office in Mongolia visited
    K-COMWEL headquarterson Feb 5, 2010 to discuss on further steps for implementing the contents
    of the MoU between the two organizations.

    Vietnam Social Security(VSS) delegation including Mr. Khuong, the Deputy Director General of VSS

    The K-COMWEL delegation inculding Executive Vice-President visited the headquarters and branch offices of Social Insurance General Office of Mongolia during the period of 7-12 July 2010. They
    conducted IT network consulting for the advancement of branch office's IT capacity and understood workers' compensation insurance of Mongolia for the further cooperation

    With the Minister of Labor and Vocational Training of Cambodia present, Shin, Young Chul, president of the K-COMWEL, signed an MOU with the executive director of the Cambodia NSSF to facilitate
    exchanges for the development of workers' compensation insurance between both organizations on September 13 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Since partnerships established in 2005, the two
    organizations have expanded the understanding of high-quality workers' compensation insurance
    systems by exploring a mutual development based on cooperative exchanges in various areas,
    including insurance benefits management, case studies, information technology, rehabilitation
    programs, etc

    Shin, Young Chul, president of the K-COMWEL, delivered a keynote address on the "Strategies for
    Securing Financial Soundness in the Social Security Sector" at a seminar during the 26th meeting of
    the ASEAN Social Security Association on September 16 held in Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Vietnam. He
    emphasized that it was important to maintain a close cooperation between the K-COMWEL and the ASSA, promising to try to continue cooperative efforts with Asia-Pacific area in developing WCI
    systems.

    K-COMWEL personnels conducted consulting mission on Employment Injury Insurance in the field of
    IT network security, public relations strategy, contribution collection and insurance benefits at the
    National Social Security Fund in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia from Sep 13 to Sep 17, 2010.

    Jointly with the Korea International Labor Foundation (KOILAF), we, the K-COMWEL, provided Korea-ILO fellowship training program on WCI & EI for 19 delegates from 8 countries, including Vietnam,
    Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Thailand, at Vabien II Hotel in South Korea for 5 days (October 11 to 15). They acknowledged that the training programs enabled the
    successful introduction of Korean WCI & EI systems to Asia-Pacific countries. Prior to this event,
    actually, we had also visited Asian developing countries, including Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam,
    to support activities for facilitating the settlement of social security systems.

    We, the K-COMWEL, invited 7 delegates from the State Social Insurance General Office of Mongolia (SSO), including Urtnasan, deputy director of the SSO to discussions & seminars on occupational lung diseases, vocational rehabilitation, IT networks, etc. In particular, this visit offered an important
    opportunity to guide the future direction of WCI within the framework of social security insurance
    systems by pre-defining topics & subjects in accordance with a mutual coordination between both organizations. They showed lots of interests, especially in water therapy and rehabilitation aids while
    visiting the Incheon WC Hospital and the Rehabilitation Engineering Institute. "We hope that this visit will serve as an opportunity to enhance mutual cooperation between both organizations," said an
    official from the K-COMWEL; Incidentally, we entered into an MOU with the SSO in September last
    year.
