    K-COMWEL presented the current status of Korea's Special Types of Employment workers’ insurance system to the Labour Policy Committee of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, engaging in discussions about the bilateral system.

    A delegation of the K-COMWEL visited workers' compensation organizations in Germany and Italy. We signed agreements with the German Federation of Workers' Compensation Unions (DGUV) and the Italian National Agency for Workers' Compensation (INAIL) to enhance cooperation.

    In respond to the request of the Minister of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia, K-COMWEL organized with the delegation to discuss enhancing the welfare of Cambodian workers and strengthening bilateral cooperation of social security.

    Mr. Hans-Horst Konkolewsky, Secretary General of ISSA, visited K-COMWEL to hold a meeting with the Chairperson, addressing challenges and exploring opportunities for mutual cooperation in the field of social security.

    At the official request of the Indonesian Workers' Social Security Agency, K-COMWEL organized training courses on internal audit, ethical management systems, and insurance fraud prevention techniques from July 18 to July 20, 2016.

    On July 25, 2016, a delegation from the Russian Federation of Social Insurance Funds exchanged information and discussed mutual interests in the field of worker's compensation medical rehabilitation. The delegation also visited K-COMWEL Incheon Hospital's Rehabilitation Center and the Rehabilitation Engineering Institute.

    K-COMWEL staff were assigned to Japan's Workers' Compensation Insurance Agency to conduct in-depth and professional investigations of overseas worker's compensation systems and to provide training for internal experts.

    On October 23 2016, a training group selected by the Taiwanese Ministry of Labour visited K-COMWEL. They studied the Korean worker's compensation insurance system, as well as the medical and rehabilitation system, and also visited the K-COMWEL Incheon Hospital Rehabilitation Center.

    The Korea-ILO Workers' Compensation Training Programme, a key initiative in international cooperation in the field of social security that has been conducted annually since 2005, was held from December 4 to December 8 in Myeongdong, Seoul.
