Submission of Medical Treatment Plans
To Submit an Extended Medical Care Plan for claiming for medical care services for an extended period
If a WCI-authorized medical service provider from which an IIW has been given medical care services judges that there is a need to provide the worker with them for an extended period, the medical service provider shall submit an Extended Medical Care Plan every 3 months (or one year in a case where it takes at least one year to medically treat his/her consequent disease or injury as acknowledged as such by the K-COMWEL) to a K-COMWEL branch office with jurisdiction.
- Previously, it was workers‘ responsibility to submit an Extended medical Care plan. As of July 1, 2008, however, it is now WCI-authorized medical service providers that submit their medical care plan that includes details of diseases and the estimated period for extended medical care within 7days before the previous medical care period is over.
