March

The 7-member tripartite delegation from labor, business and government in Thailand visited
K-COMWEL headquarter March 17, 2011 to study on social security system in Korea.

April

Vietnam Social Security(VSS) delegation including Mr. NGUYEN MINH THAO, the Deputy Director
General of VSS paid a study visit to K-COMWEL on Insurance IT System, Insurance Fraud prevention, Customer Satisfaction which lasted from April 18 to 22, 2011.

May

K-COMWEL visited ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific to participate in the 6th Executive
Committee Meeting Korea-ILO Partnership Programme from May 04 to May 06 in order to report on the 2009-2010 Programme and discuss on 2011 Programme.

September

To enhance cooperation with European social security providers, K-COMWEL signed a memorandum of understanding with the Austrian Workers' Compensation Board(AUVA) in Vienna on 2 September 2011.

In accordance with the MOU signed on 2 September 2011, a K-COMWEL-AUVA Workship on
Rehabilitation Issues in Workers' Compensation was held in Seoul on 27 September 2011.

October

The 2011 ILO-Korea Fellowship Training on Employment Insurance(EI) and Employment Injury
Insurance(EII) for 23 participants from 8 developing countries in Asia and the Pacific region was held
in Seoul from 5 to 13 October 2011. To give substance to this training program, a Workship on the
Extension of Social Protection in Asia and the Pacific region was hosted by K-COMWEL during the
same period.

To assist Sri Lanka in establishing workers' compensation scheme, a Fellowship Training on
Employment Injury Insurance(EII) as Technichal Assistance for Introduction of EII in Sri Lanka was held from 24 to 28 October 2011.
