    Workplace Childcare Promotion Initiatives refer to a program to freely or inexpensively provide loan services for employers or employer groups that pursue efforts to establish & operate any workplace childcare center or create occupational environment friendly to female workers, and thereby, relieve them of burdens of childcare.

    Loan services at no interest rate for employers or employer groups in pursuit of the installation of any workplace childcare center

    Eligible employers

    EI-covered employers or employer groups

    Requirement

    Serviced loans at no interest rates shall be used to build, purchase or lease a childcare center, or remodel the existing facility to a childcare center, or purchase or replace childcare materials(textbooks, educational tools), supplies, devices, equipment, etc.

    Loan conditions

    60% or 90% of expenses actually incurred to remodel the existing facility to a childcare facility, or purchase or replace childcare materials & supplies (including education materials and others) will be differentially provided for eligible employers, depending on their workplace size :
    - Remodeling expenses : Up to KRW 0.3 billion (KRW 0.6 billion for employer groups)
    - Expenses for purchasing childcare materials : KRW 50 million(Expenses for replacing childcare materials: KRW 30 million)
    - Workplace child care center for small and medium-sized businesses : Up to KRW 2 billion, 90% of expenses

     

    Loan services at low interest rates for employers or employer groups in pursuit of the improvement of occupational environment for female workers

    Eligible employers

    EI-covered employers or employer groups

    Requirement

    Expenses spent in building, purchasing, leasing or repair/renovation of, or remodeling the existing facility to a childcare center or a facility friendly to female workers
    ※ Facilities friendly to female workers: Breast-milking (breastfeeding) room, locker room, break room (for pregnant/post-delivery women, etc.), nap room, dormitory, shower room, restroom and other facilities to stabilize female workers' vocational lives and boost their employment rates

    Loan limit

    Up to KRW 700 million (within the scope of actual expenses)

    Loan conditions

    Five-year quarterly reimbursements in installments following 3-year grace period, per annum interest rate of 2% (1% for prioritized companies in loan support)
