    The Korean Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service(COMWEL) has integrated the Korea Workers’ Accident Medical Corporation(K-medi) into its organization on April 28, 2010. 


    Thus COMWEL became to extend its business scope to medical service by managing its own medical institutions such as nine hospitals, two care centers, one rehabilitation engineering institute in addition to its existing services such as workers’ compensation insurance(WCI), application & collection of WCI and employment insurance, other welfare services.


    Against this backdrop, COMWEL has established one-stop service system which provides our customers with WCI application, compensation, medical care, rehabilitation, high quality medical and rehab service all along with other welfare services such as scholarships for low-income workers, loans for workers’ stable livelihood, loans for workers in wage arrears, resort accommodation service, cultural arts festival for workers, wage claim guarantee program, credit guarantee program for workers.
